 【澎湖縣西嶼鄉】

大菓葉柱狀玄武岩和其他玄武岩最大的差異在土質和出土時間較晚，質地偏黃，有美麗整齊的柱狀石壁，以及容易步行又安全的道路，石壁下方的小水池映射著石壁整齊的線條，呈現出美麗的景色。澎湖的柱狀玄武岩是世界級的景觀，火山熔岩流在冷卻時體積收縮，形成六角柱或多角柱結構。後因各種地形作用的影響，形成許多高低起伏、變化多端的柱狀玄武岩。
