【新竹縣尖石鄉】

鎮西堡，泰雅語為Cinsbu，為「第一道曙光照耀的地方」，海拔高度約1700公尺，全台最大的檜木原始林。隔著泰崗溪與司馬庫斯巨木群互相輝映，鎮西堡部落的泰雅族，世代守護這片林區。步道分2區，A區崎嶇，路徑複雜，甚至熊出沒，著名巨木「皇后」，沒嚮導帶領請勿前往。B區為環繞路線，著名的巨木有「國王」、「亞當」、「夏娃」。

**小米：為什麼不是神木，叫巨木呢？
爸爸：泰雅族的宇宙觀，沒有日、月、石、樹之神，因此稱為巨木而非神木。**

### 後記

其實這趟本帶著國中同學和他兒子要去鎮西堡看櫻花的，但沒事先做調查，鎮西堡櫻花祭需要登記才能進入。所以索性直接繞到一直在心中是殘念著鎮西堡來，畢竟2年前沒完成這趟讚嘆之旅。

國中同學在步道路口走了一段之後，覺得很喘。所以和兒子先折返回車上。因此我跟小米儘量用最快的速度完成整個拍攝，而回程幾乎都是快步行走。小米有著健壯的體魄和體力，走完全程不喘不累還超級有精神，這趟芬多精讚嘆之旅終於滿足的達成了，可惜的是同學高山症沒跟上。
